The Malaysian F1 Grand Prix 2005 at Sepang F1 circuit 18-20 March 2005 was the motor event of the year. It was the second race of the year as the Formula 1 2005 season started in Melbourne, Australia, 6 March. There were 19 races in 2005 and the season ended in Shanghai, China, 16 October. The winner was Fernando Alonso from Renault who also became world champion this year.
