The Malaysian F1 Grand Prix 2006 took place at Sepang F1 circuit just outside Kuala Lumpur from 17 to 19 March 2006. Once again it was the second race of the year as the Formula 1 2006 season started in Bahrain on March 6. There are 19 races in 2006 and the season ends in Brazil on October 22. Fernando Alonso won in Malaysia for the second year in a row and also became world champion for the second year in a row this year.

And the winner was Renault's Fishichella ahead of Alonso, with Button third
